  2. What types of carts do we offer and which one is right for you?
    • We currently offer golf cart rentals for 2-, 4- and 6-passenger carts. Regulations on Bald Head Island for golf cars require that you have a seating position for each person on the cart. If you are bringing beach chairs and coolers, it’s best to save two seats for those items for the most comfortable ride. This is similar for wheelchairs and strollers.   3. Can I bring my dog?
    • Yes, dogs are always welcome! Bald Head Island is a very dog-friendly place and dogs are allowed on the beaches, trails and many restaurants have dog-friendly seating.
  4. What is included with a Bald Head Island golf car rental from Cary Cart Company?
    • Each golf car comes with all of the needed safety features for Bald Head Island golf cars. Your rental also includes a charger so if you have it for multiple days you are ready to roll!
  5. When is payment due?
    • Payment is due at the time of booking the golf cart rental. Payments options are Credit/Debt cards excluding American express
  6. Are car seats necessary?
    • Yes, car seats are needed for anyone who would use one in a car. The carts all have seat belts so the car seats can be secured.
  7. Are there Public Restrooms on the island?
    • There are a few options for Public Restrooms on Bald Head Island. The 2 options are in the harbor located at the public park as well as in the Chandler Building behind the Dock Master Office.
  8. Can I keep the golf car past closing?
    • Yes, we have an after-hours key drop box located next to the front door. However, you could incur additional fees depending on your reservation. Carts are due back by closing on the last day of your reservation. If your cart is returned after closing, you will be charged for an additional day.
  9. What is there to do on Bald Head Island?
    • Bald Head Island has many great things to do and see during your visit. You can climb the Old Baldy Lighthouse, visit the miles of beaches, walk on the nature trails and visit some of the great stores and restaurants!
  10. How far in advance should I book my golf car rental?
    • We typically always have carts available first thing in the morning. For busier holidays (Easter, Mother’s Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day) it’s best to reserve ahead of time to ensure you have the option you want. We also encourage booking early for multiple-day reservations to guarantee availability for the duration of your stay.
